neutral saturday

No spiritual awakenings lately. I need to download some music and try to keep myself at an even keel. Right now I have my apricot candle lit and purple glitter eyeliner on (just for fun), and I'm enjoying being home alone while I still can. I feel very neutral. Not happy but not sad.

Also, here are some quotes that have been on my mind,

"Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark, in the hopeless swamps of the approximate, the not-quite, the not-yet, the not-at-all. Do not let the hero in your soul perish, in lonely frustration for the life you deserved, but have never been able to reach. Check your road and the nature of your battle. The world you desired can be won, it exists, it is real, it is possible, it's yours."

"The self you have betrayed is your mind; self-esteem is reliance on one’s power to think. The ego you seek, that essential 'you' which you cannot express or define, is not your emotions or inarticulate dreams, but your intellect, that judge of your supreme tribunal whom you’ve impeached in order to drift at the mercy of any stray shyster you describe as your 'feeling.'" -Ayn Rand

"I have the choice of being constanly active and happy or introspectively passive and sad. Or I can go mad by ricocheting in between." -Sylvia Plath
